Recruitment visit to the University of Žilina
(Task 6, Recruitment of first-, second- and third- cycle students, including students with disabilities)
The first recruitment visit in the CNC-PROG project was made to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Žilina in Slovakia. On October 19-22, 2021 representatives of the Lublin University of Technology (Assoc. Prof. Jerzy Józwik, PhD (Eng.), DSc, and Kamil Anasiewicz, MSc) met with Prof. Dr. Ing. Ivan Kuric, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Head of the Department of Automation and Production Systems, and Prof. Ing. Andrej Czán, PhD, Vice Dean for Cooperation with Practice and Head of the Department of Manufacturing and Production. The talks covered issues such as the cooperation within the CNC-PROG project and the participation of students and doctoral candidates in the intensive international education programme “Summer School in CNC Programming: CNC-PROG” implemented by the Lublin University of Technology. The authorities of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the University of Žilina declared their willingness to cooperation and promotion of the CNC-PROG project. The recruitment procedure for first-, second- and third-cycle students, including students with disabilities was discussed, with recruitment documents handed over to the Slovakian authorities. Vice Deans of the University expressed their intent to participate in the CNC-PROG project. The authorities of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Žilina observed that the project would be another step in tightening international cooperation between our universities, especially in terms of didactics. It was also stressed that the project would present an opportunity for students to develop their knowledge and broaden their minds, as well as it would lead to internationalisation of higher education.
